EKI CHAIR
With this project I wanted to create an armchair that does not go unnoticed, with strong aesthetics and intended to be highlighted in space. Present in a gallery, it is a functional work that gently supports the body at rest.
I wanted to keep only the areas of contact between the chair and the body, symbolized by 2 foam cushions. The EKI armchair consists of a back and a seat, recessed in a thick 180cm brushed metal plate by means of a rod, also in metal. The points of contact between the chair and the body symbolized by the 2 cushions are highlighted thanks to the vacuum created by the lightening of the structure.
The backrest and seat are angled to promote a resting position and distribute the body weight as well as possible.
This is a glass or Plexiglas + Steel rod and plate concept of EKI
EKI OUTSIDE CONCEPT
I created another concept for the outside world. I present here my first attempt at 3D scanning, a universe created in 3D and the EKI chair.
I am currently prototyping the chair.
