I designed a new sole inspired by the "4D" from Adidas to collaborate with OESH INNOVATION. I chose thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) materials for the 3D printing production of a 100% recyclable shoe sole in line with the sole they where already using.
Founder Casey Kerrigan said: “At OESH Shoes we are committed to making shoes that are not only the healthiest shoes on the planet, but also the healthiest shoes for the planet. We are constantly innovating and developing new technologies and manufacturing processes that minimize carbon emissions, toxins and waste. We are excited about our latest discovery – that using Huntsman’s TPU elastomers, OESH’s signature soles are now not only 100% healthy, but 100% recyclable.”
I created this TPU lattice midsole using parametric design. The TPU is the material used for Adidas boost soles. The 3D file created was printed in around ~ 5 hours (it's a size 35 FR).
